We finally have a blog! I am so excited. I won't be posting much yet becasue I am still working on getting the website for The Graceful Maiden up and running.
Just a quick overview of what I have been doing:
I am making a pair of 18th century stays for a ball that I am going to in December. I have used a light mauve fabric for the outside fabric. I am in a time bind (I still have not made my gown) so I am using cable ties from a Lowes store for boning, though I am sure they have them at a Home Depot too. I was not sure if it was going to work at first but it really is not any different than using boning for the boning channels. You do have to insert two cable ties for the boning channels to make it stiff enough.

Because I am actually in the process of re-doing the blog right now. Except for the fact that I can't get the computer to coperate with this really cool new header I made. Ahhhhhh!!!!!!
